A belated Happy New Year to all of you. I thought you might like to read an update on the activities of Total Hospitality so far in 2012.

We have already had the pleasure of catering a many great events, parties, weddings and balls, some of which include a wonderful 60th birthday party for the owners (James and Alex’s) mother where 100 of her best loved friends and family joined her for a night of eating, drinking and merryment. We had a great time and thank you Jane for having us.

We have also been to one of our regular and one of our favourite venues; Bush Hall for another birthday celebration where we catered a lovely three course meal to 120 guests and entertainment from drag act “Tina C” finished off the evening with a great bit of fun.

We have also catered a number of corporate BBQ’s (yes that is right corporate BBQ’s in Febuary!) which have been very popular and are set to carry out a number of further BBQ’s for the same organisation in March.

Thankyou as always ot Fleetwood studios for your continued business as we always love catering for your clients at your studios; it is a pleasure. Also Fraikin Ltd at Heathrow for your continued business along with Berkshire Community Foundation for using our services once again this year. We had the opportunity to cater a delightful corporate lunch for an organisation in Basingstoke where we enjoyed making thier French clients welcome for a great champagne lunch.

We would also like to welcome those of you who have chosen to book our services for your weddings coming up for either this year or even those of you super organised who are already booked up for 2013. Thank you for choosing to use our services and we are really looking forward to being part of your special day.

For a full list of our prefrred venues and 2012 menus along with prices please feel free to have a longer browse through our webiste as we update regularly with new testimonials and photos. www.total-hospitality.co.uk

Also i cannot go without letting you all know that we have scored 4* for our most recent visit from the Food Standards Agency which we are really pleased with and is testimant to all of our great teams hard working in making sure that the clenliness of our kitchen and all best practises are kept to and properly documented. This is a great result, well done and keep it up.

best wishes. xx

Thank you to all our clients whom we have catered for this summer. Those of you whom have been kind enough to write us a reference, we have published some of them here below. If any of you wish to add to these please feel free to add one to the “comments” below…

“We got married in June 2010 and used total hospitality as our caterers. We wanted to have italian catering as i am half italian and wanted italian food. We went for our tasting a couple months previous with my parents and the food was fantastic and on the day it exceeded our expectations! The food tasted gorgeous and i have fabulous comments from my guests regarding the food, as we know how fussy the italians can be! We had 152 people to cater for and there was plenty of food!
We would use total hospitality again for any of my future events as they were also amazing on the day.
Goodluck and best wishes
Anne-Marie”

“I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work on sat and sun, everything was perfect and we have had many compliments on the delicious food throughout the day, your organisation and seamless overseeing of timings and producing such lovely food was excellent. One of the reasons we asked you to cater at the wedding was the confidence we had in you from when we met at the tasting so it was great to know everything was in safe hands on the day and judging by all the compliments on food, efficiency and friendliness we were spot on! The BBQ was scrummy and went down a treat so thank you again for all your help, advice and patience from beginning to end, you were fantastic and we will be sure to recommend you if anyone is looking for caterering, in fact we have already passed your details to the neighbours!

Many thanks once again for all of your hard work, much apprieciated and very much enjoyed.
Best wishes,
Irene and Gareth”

“I would like to express my appreciation to Jeremy and the catering team for all their hard work on Friday. They were so well organised and everything went like clockwork (except when we didn’t keep to the schedule), but Jeremy was very accommodating – nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were very efficient, professional, polite and friendly.
I am not the easiest of people to please, however I was very impressed and you have found a fan. Everyone commented on how good the food and overall service was. They definitely lived up to the company name by providing ‘total hospitality’.
Please relay my thanks to all concerned.
Kind regards,

“I am writing to thank you for your kind help and support with the funeral party we organised last Friday. Obviously it was an unusual and difficult task for all sorts of reasons. However, your assistance ensured that it was an impressive and moving occasion. My mate Pat would have greatly appreciated it, as do I.
Best wishes,

“Just to say a huge thank you for our daughter wedding meal. The food and service were impeccable. Our photographer has asked for your number to recommend you and 2 people have said they want to use you for their weddings, lees brothers. You made our day so easy yet gave us brilliant service. All our guest said the food was beautiful, exquisite, amazing were some of the words used. We will certainly be recommending you and thank you just does not seem enough to say. Please thank all your team who were polite and friendly.
Many thanks for making our daughters wedding that extra bit special….
Martin becca and andrew craker xx”

“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your services at the weekend. Barry and the two servers were fantastic, food was awesome and all my guests were thoroughly impressed with them.

I want thank you and your team for an excellent BBQ lunch yesterday – despite the weather!

“I would like to convey my thanks to Jeremy and his team for the excellent service that they gave at my BBQ garden party on Sunday — the feedback was very positive from all guests with high quality food in sufficient quantity to meet all their varying requirements (apparently one guest went back three times). I will have no hesitation in recommending your company to friends or anyone else requiring assurance.
One further positive comment — my mother-in-law says that it was the best piece of salmon that she has had for years –that really is a good compliment!
Best Regards
John Prideaux”

“Thank you so much for everything. The food was wonderful. You, and your waiting staff were attentive and polite; nothing was too much trouble.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event, and we received many positive comments about the food from our guests. We consider ourselves fortunate, now, that the original caterers let us down, and we found Total Hospitality instead. In the end, it couldn’t have worked out better, and we hope that the last minute decision making on our part did not cause you too many problems. We appreciate that some of our requests probably seemed a bit unusual, but thank you for going with the flow.
Best Regards,
Jeremy and Orli Taffel, Miri and Kit Waites”

“Thank you so much for providing the food yesterday, we totally over ordered, the food was extremely delicious, we have the cakes today in the office.
Kind regards
We wish you well for the future.
Best wishes
Pauline and Jon Lee”

“Thank you for the wonderful catering you provided us with. The food was delicious and all our guests commented on it, but also the staff were extremely friendly. I was very impressed about how nothing was too much trouble leading up to the wedding and indeed on the day. The hog roast went down particularly well and was so perfect and the salads were so delicious too. I have had nothing but compliments and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to other people. Thank you for all you’ve done and I’m extremely happy that you did our catering for us. We had an absolutely fantastic day and your staff were a pleasure.
Kind Regards
Paula”

“I just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you for yesterday! I heard some great comments from the guests regarding the food so just wanted to let you know how much of a success it was.
I hope you have all managed to dry out ok!!
Hope to work with you again in the future.
Thanks again

Hello Everyone I just thought i would let you know that are new bbq menus for 2011 are being uploaded onto our website as i speak to now. As well as covering all of the South UK i thought i would just point out that we also cover Northern Europe and have been asked to tender for several large BBQ contracts in both Spain and France over the summer. I will keep you updated as to whether we are heading for the Sandy beaches of Europe. For our clients who are looking for something slighty closer to home, we have added some new menu dishes to our range, as well as preserving your core favourites. Lets hope for sunnier weather soon, as at the moment it is blowing a gale outside.

We are delighted to now offer an new range of sparkling wines, champagnes and Prosecco Frizzante. After many arduous tasting sessions of these drinks by the team, we are thrilled to roll out our new drinks menu for 2011. We firmly believe that as well as old favourites such as champagne’s, there is a growing demand for new options such as Cavas from Spain and Prosecco wines from Italy. By adding these to our drinks menu we feel this can only enhance the options available to our customers. There is an increasing demand for more affordable alternatives and having listened to our clients and their feedback we have increased our range and variety. As well as seeing new wines come on to the menu, we also welcome back some firm favorites such as the Rey Viejo from Spain and the Jacklberry from South Africa. If you or any of your friends are planning a party and you need some liquid refreshments on the side then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you soon

At Total Hospitality we have decided, after watching the channel 4 “fish fight” programmes that something must be done about this awful waste of discarded fish.
Did you know that Half of all fish caught in the north sea are thrown back overboard dead. By supporting this campaign, your name will be added to a letter to be sent to Commissioner Maria Damanaki, members of the Common Fisheries Policy Reform Group, and all MEPs. Help us stop this insane waste.
Since signing up to support this, we have today recieved the following email from the “fish fight” team on behalf of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

“If you caught the shows I hope you enjoyed them – and I hope they made you angry too. The great news is that people have been signing up like mad to the anti-discards petition on the fishfight.net website – at this moment in time we’ve passed the 300,000, which is phenomenal. I’m beginning to think – a bit wildly perhaps – that it might not be impossible to get 1/2 a million supporters on this issue. And if we can do that we will make a huge impact.
The campaign was actually referenced in a speech yesterday by European Fisheries Commissioner Maria Damanaki, and very positively. We are being heard where it matter.
But we want more – can you help spread the word yet further? Tweet, Facebook or semaphore your support whenever you get the chance. Mention the campaign, and fishfight.net, whenever you can. Help us take the fish fight to the people!” – Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

So please join Total Hospitaliy and so many others by signing up at www.fishfight.net and help us make a difference.
The Total Hospitality team.

I just thought i would take this opportunity to let you all know that we have just created and published some new menu for 2011. If anyone fancies something a little bit hotter to warm you up over these cold winter months then look no further than our new Indian menu. How about a spicy tender cooked lamb curry served with saffron potatoes. Or for those of you that prefer something a little cooler why not try our cooling cucumber raita on the side. We have tried to cater for all tastes so for those of you that prefer something a little lighter look out for our spiced herb crusted sea bass served on a bed of wilted spinach. If you feel that meat is more your sort of thing then why not try our silky chicken kebabs, or our creamy chicken tikka.

For those of you looking to brighten up those dark days we have also launched a Caribbean menu. So whether you fancy throwing a party for for friends at home, or your looking to organise a ball and want a different theme then why not try our Baked Mango and Ginger swordfish, served with a rainforest salad of crisp leaves, cucumber, roasted sweet peppers and for good measure throw in a bit of lovely tropical fruit salsa and for those of you who like it a bit more spicy add in some freshly chopped birds eye chillies.

If like me you are looking forward to when the days get longer and the lovely summer weather returns then don’t forget to give us a call and get your Caribbean BBQ booked in. You never know we might even throw in the odd Rum Punch or two, to get the party really going. If you like the look of these or any of our other menus then please give us a call on 0118 9333 919, and we look forward to catering for you soon.

I just wanted to let you know how excited we all are at Total Hospitality about the coming year. With Total Hospitality set to carry out more wedding catering this year than ever before, we can’t wait to see more and more happy couples tieing the knot. I have carried out a very basic survey of some of our staff of what they enjoy the most about each wedding we cater for and here were some of the responses:

Jeremy: Pouring the Champagne.

James: seeing all the plates from the food we have served come back empty.

Alex: seeing the bride… and bridesmaids in their beautiful dresses and everyone happy anticipating a special day that we can part of.

Barry: Sending out beautifully presented food that i am really proud of and recieveing happy compliments.

Ollie: Making up the pimms and lemonade or cocktails ready for everyone’s arrival. Also listening to the best man speaches as they are often hilarious.

Sarah: Going to new venues, seing the table and hall decorations and helping set out the tables settings to perfection.

I hope you will also all join us in wishing Kate Middleton and Prince William all the best for their forth coming wedding in April and hope that their wedding day is as special as so many of our happy couples are.

I thought i would just up date you all to let you know that Christmas parties, turkey and stuffing was alive and well over the festive period. Some of our team experienced a bit of ‘Strictly come Dancing’ at Bush Hall in London this year, whilst serving up the traditional Christmas fair, whilst other members of the team experienced the snow and cold up in the Midlands during the heavy snowfall that seemed to blanket the entire nation. This years winning food along with the traditional turkey and Alex’s knockout homemade pork and sage stuffing was our selection of loaded crispy potato skins, along with Brie and Cranberry Wontons, which Barry assures me he is glad he is not having to make again until next Christmas. I think we might just have to put them on the menu all year round then!
We are currently updating our menus for 2011 and this year will see the launch of some new exciting world menus. Checkout the blog for the new menus and i will keep you all posted.

Total Hospitality Ltd were lucky enough to have been asked to provide the catering at a charity ball in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’ a few weeks ago. There were lots of lovely prices on offer in the auction, and thanks to everybody who attended as they really put their hands in their pockets and raised a fantastic amount of money for a great cause. During the lead up to the function the heavens really opened over the surrounding fields and for awhile whilst setting up the day before we thought we might need the assistance of the local farmer and his tractor to get on site, and for a while it felt like we might have entered an off roading 4×4 competition by mistake. Thank goodness our guys are built like Arnold ‘Ill be back’ Schwarzenegger, not! Anyway everybody enjoyed themselves and our catering was well received.
