hints and tips for the perfect christmas party

Saturday 9th December 2017

1. find a date
book a date for your party as early as possible and then let people know about it. your potential guests will fill their diaries up fast in the run up to Christmas so be the first to get in there quick!
2. Set a budget.
a per head cost or an idea of what you can spend overall is good. companies will want to know weather your budget is including or excluding vat.
3. write a guest list.
the numbers for this may very much depend on yoru budget. you may want to consider whether partners or spouses are invited too and is it a party with or without children?
4. find a venue.
There are lots of venues available for hire. here are a few suggestions.

5. Organise your caterers. (That's where we come in!)
from the first call or email we will help guide you through what we have on offer for your perfect party. we will need to know what date and venue you have chosen and a guide on expected numbers. an idea on what you are looking for is also really helpful. so do you want a relaxed party style with finger food or canapes? or a seated two or three course meal? we can do 'family style' service where the food is presented in bowls and on platter in the middle of tables; or more traditional plated meals served to each guest.
with this information we can then send you over our suggested menus along with pricing and a quote.

6. other things you may want to consider are whether you require:
. some kind of reception drinks as guests arrive for your party. Prosecco or a cocktail works perfectly here.
. some canapes to 'put our guests on' until the rest of the food is served.
. wine with the meal or circulated for a standing party.
. tea & coffee served after the meal
. a bar where you can either put money behind the bar or get guests to buy their own.

7. we can also help with;
. guests with allergies or dietary requirements
. a bespoke menu if you are looking for something special that you can see on our current menus.
. traditional or innovative. we cater for Christmas parties that are both very traditional serving up traditional Christmas fayer or some that are entirely different.

whatever you decide, we are happy to help accommodate and send a catering manager to be in charge for all food and drinks throught so you can relax and enjoy your perfect party.

Merry Christmas. x
