Nancy & Tims' Ufton Court Wedding

We loved catering for Nancy and Tim last October at Ufton Court one of our recommended venues and wanted to share the love with you.

The bride and groom both wanted the food to have a relaxed feel and so went for plenty of canapes served during the drinks reception followed by a two course BBQ served family style. This means platters and bowls of the BBQ food brought to all the dining tables for guests to help themselves.
For dessert the bride had the amazing idea of whole cheesecakes served to the middle of each table and then a nominated guest for each stood up the cut the 'cakes' at the same time as the bride and groom cut theirs at the top table.


Sticky Teriyaki Chicken Skewers
Honey & mustard glazed mini sausages
Thai Fish Bites with Sweet Chilli dip

Seared scallops with pea & mint puree
Wild Mushroom Ragout Spoons (V)

Wedding breakfast;
Marinated 4oz Steak
Cajun Spiced Chicken thighs with a Honey Glaze
Poached Salmon Filet served with a Lemon & Dill Mayonnaise

For vegetarians
Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable & Haloumi Cheese Kebab (V)
& Selection of Vegetarian Sausages & Burgers (V)
All served with a selection of relishes,
Assorted Fresh Bakers Rolls
New Potatoes with, Sour Cream & Chives,
Lemon, Coriander & Minted Couscous,
Caesar Salad with Croutons & Parmesan shavings,
Roast potatoes
Whole Large Mixed Berry Cheesecakes
Tea, Filter Coffee & Homemade Sweet Treats

The drinks;
We set up a gin bar as part of the drinks reception. the couple provided the gin and we did the rest including providing freshly cut limes, cucumber and lemon. We put out a champagne bucket of ice with tongs and the glasses and decorated with a little gin menu and some wooden crates.

In the evening;
The couple again had a brilliant idea of having a marshmallow toasting station!
This was set up outside on the courtyard terrace with some lighting and a member of our staff to help. We provided the heaters, marshmallows, 3x chocolate sauces, some sprinkles, skewers for toasting and napkins.
we also provided cheeseburgers and mini 6" pizzas walked round and offered to guests into the night.
